A woman writes a letter to her potential lawyer while in prison awaiting a murder trial. She explains how she landed a new job as a nanny for two girls who live in a smart house, in the Scottish Highlands. She can’t quite explain how she ended up in prison for the murder of one of one of the girls. Was her job as a nanny too much to handle? Was being under the watchful eye of surveillance cameras too much? She knows she made mistakes, but none of them led to murder.
This is a compelling novel full of twists and turns you won’t see coming! I really enjoyed this book! I read the audiobook, and couldn’t stop listening! Ruth Ware wrote a novel that is hard to put down, and keeps you on your toes until the very end!
