The Beach Read is one of my favorite books I’ve read this year!
It’s a sort of hate-to-lovers romance about two authors who knew eachother in college. They end up living next door to each other on Bear Lake in Michigan. Both of the authors are struggling to put out their next book in the genre they’re know for, so they come up with a brilliant plan — Switch genres! They switch genres, Gus taking January’s Romance/Happy Endings, while January takes Gus’s bleak literary fiction.
They spend time instructiong each other on how to write their specific genre of book, all the whiel…are they falling in love?!
This book was lightly steamy, a page turner, and a real joy to read!
