The Companion by Katie Alender

My Review:

As I stated in my previous post about this book, it may become one of my favorite reads of 2020. It has surely done just that! I loved it! I highly recommend this book if you’re into mysteries, suspense, and thrillers.

The Companion is a story about a teenager named Margot, who becomes an orphan and is sent to live with the Sutton family. The Suttons are a well put together family, who live on a large estate in the country, where the wifi is severely lacking.

Margot has been given the duty to be the companion for the Sutton’s seemingly mute and strange daughter Agatha. As time wears on and Margo becomes acquainted with the Suttons, the house, and it’s property…she begins to understand that there is more to living on this estate than she thought possible. Strange things begin to happen as she uncovers more to the story about who the Suttons really are. Will a budding romance between Margo and the Sutton’s handsome son prevent her from finding out the truth

I really enjoyed the twists and turns, and the suspense that kept me reading! The slow burn gets me everytime! I’m looking forward to picking up another of Katie Alender’s titles!
